Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

General Requirements

  • Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration in other journals.

  • Manuscripts must align with the focus and scope of the Journal of Education, Technology, and Communication (JETCOM).

  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process by qualified reviewers.

Manuscript Formatting

  • Manuscripts must be written in proper Indonesian or English.

  • Manuscript length should be 5,000 – 8,000 words, including references.

  • Format requirements:

    • File type: Microsoft Word (.docx)

    • Paper size: A4

    • Spacing: 1.5

    • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

    • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Citation and references must follow the APA Style, 7th Edition.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title

  2. Author Name(s) and Affiliation(s)

  3. Abstract (150–250 words) and Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  4. Introduction

  5. Literature Review / Theoretical Framework

  6. Research Method

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion and Suggestions

  9. Acknowledgments (if any)

  10. References

Submission Process

  • Authors must register as users in the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS).

  • Manuscripts are submitted through the “Make a New Submission” feature on the OJS website.

  • Every submission must include a statement of originality.

  • Editors reserve the right to edit grammar and style without altering the substance of the manuscript.

Publication and Ethics

  • This journal adheres to the ethical standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

  • All submissions will be screened using plagiarism detection software, with a maximum similarity threshold of 20%.

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that all citations and references are accurately and properly cited.
