Author Guidelines

Journal of Education, Technology, and Communication (JETCOM) accepts research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews relevant to education, educational technology, learning, teaching methods, communication, and the development of social-humanities integrated with technology.

1. General Requirements

  • Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review in other journals.

  • Authors must register and submit their manuscripts via the JETCOM Open Journal System (OJS).

  • Manuscripts can be written in proper Indonesian or English.

  • All accepted articles will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin/iThenticate with a maximum similarity index of 20%.

2. Manuscript Format

  • Manuscripts must be typed in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) using A4 paper size (21 x 29.7 cm).

  • Margins: left 3 cm, right 2.5 cm, top 3 cm, bottom 2.5 cm.

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt, 1.15 line spacing.

  • Article length should be between 8–15 pages, including tables, figures, and references.

3. Structure of Research Article

  1. Title (maximum 15 words, clearly representing the content)

  2. Author Name(s) and Institutional Affiliation

  3. Abstract and Keywords (150–250 words; 3–5 keywords)

  4. Introduction

  5. Research Methods

  6. Results and Discussion

  7. Conclusion and Suggestions

  8. Acknowledgements (if any)

  9. References (using APA Style 7th Edition)

4. Structure of Conceptual Paper / Literature Review

  1. Title

  2. Author Name(s) and Affiliation

  3. Abstract and Keywords

  4. Introduction

  5. Theoretical Review / Discussion

  6. Conclusion and Recommendations

  7. References

5. Citation and References

  • Authors are advised to use reference managers such as Mendeley or Zotero.

  • Citation style: APA Style 7th Edition.

  • Minimum 15 references required, with at least 80% from scholarly journals published within the last 10 years.

6. Publication Fees

  • Manuscript submission is free of charge (No Submission Fee).

  • If the article is accepted for publication, authors will be charged an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 100,000, in accordance with the journal's policy.
